Calcasieu Coroner’s Office releases latest COVID-19 death demographics

There have been 150 deaths from the virus in Calcasieu, according to the numbers released Monday by the Coroner’s Office.
Most of those have been in residents over 60, with the highest number coming in the 80-89 age range. But the parish has also seen two deaths of residents 19 or younger.

I’d be willing to bet these are deaths WITH covid.
Just the fact that more women died then men doesn’t jive with what we know, so most of these could be WITH covid. That’s what I assume unless told otherwise.

Doubtful. Very few people reach 75 and not have underlying health issues.
