The thing with parents wanting their children to be transgendered is just strange to me. You want your children to be happy and that kind of thing is beyond their little comprehension and all children should be worried about is playing outside, learning vital skills and learning in school...and most importantly being a kid is having fun.

Had this discussion with friends over the 4th. We all agreed that we could play a non-lesbian trans-woman who dated women and had plastic surgery for a 75 million dollar payday as long as we got to keep our junk.

To say its just they can't accept themselves is ludicrous.
If you are secure enough in yourself and your being you can overcome any bullying.
I fricking hate nothing more in this country than the group of people who advocate that some people are just too sad and weak to be able to accomplish things for themselves and all of their problems are from outside sources. frick that line of thinking.
Bullying has been, is, and always will be a part of our society and a part of childhood. We should focus on preaching that life is tough and sometimes it sucks but if you work hard and accept the things you cannot change you can live a great life.
This stupid bullshite line of thinking that you should never be bullied or offended or hurt or ever in any way affected by anyone is killing this country.

What are you asserting that they are ignorant of? Biology's manifestation of Orwellian doublethink?

Unfortunately yes, it's another sad day in America.

You'd be surprised. I know several gay men who don't like lesbians. Or women really. And why should your sexuality make you automatically agree with someone who has a different sexuality. It's ridiculous.

If things keep going the way they're going, we're going to see people murdered in the streets for their political views in the US in our lifetime
Not sure which side is going to be doing the murdering and which side the dying, but it's going to be fricked up times

Yes. And I'm arguing that linking them all together is harmful to those people. There are extreme and major differences between a gay person and a transgendered person.
And i have multiple gay friends who think it's obnoxious and hate it. They're people and they want to be treated as people, not a subgroup of some outspoke community bullshite.
Thats another major problem in this country the constant separation and grouping of people into categories then pitting them against one another.

We should. But something tells me in small town USA a transgender person gets made fun of a little bit more than the avg person. And it's not an ideal world. Some people can take things when others can't. There's a reason so many trans move to cities with a larger population of others like them...its because they have an outlet to be with people that accept them and where they grow up in the midwest they don't have anything but people telling them they suck at life or they are gonna go to hell.
I gotta go....I don't think she deserved the award last night necessarily but I'll never know how people don't see pages of attacks and then think it's easy or get mad when people ask for acceptance. Later guys

What he is doing is easy. 100% reversible and gets him millions of dollars. If you were making these arguments about these supposed small town person you keep referencing, it might hold more water. But that's not who we are talking about.

5 yrs ago they gave the award to that boxer that was put in jail for the conviction of a murder of an elderly woman... through this and that and 26 years of jail time later, they proved his innocence. Not sure what was courageous about him being stuck in jail with his life ruined over a wrongful conviction either.
