When I see those cage diving pics like that- where they're strung out away from the boat like an overweighted cork- I think about the shark's propensity to use 300 razor sharp teeth to carry out investigations for reasons of, "palatability."
And so what's unnerving is not you becoming his dinner, but instead the rather obvious, singular and minuscule looking tether that you are being dangled from.
It would seem that if you find yourself in the precarious situation of watching the shackling above being swallowed up whole, then the same fate is awaiting for you in black abyss below- albeit a darker, slower, colder and more horrific fate, but the same fate nonetheless.
