Any sightings of the Nicks out and about in downtown Baton Rouge? I heard they are in town.

Remember when a movie crew coming to town was exciting instead of annoying?

I remember when I could start telling people that Tom Cruise made me late to work, thanks to Jack Reacher shooting.

Met William Hurt playing golf at City Park in BR a few years ago. He was out there playing almost every day while he was filming. Super nice guy.
The young dude at counter of golf course would make him leave his drivers license as collateral when Hurt rented a pull cart in case he was planning on stealing it.

I saw Cage a couple of times in the Davenport Lounge in New Orleans, it was last year though.

He'll be on an airboat with my uncle in White Castle drinking moonshine at some point. They are buds.

Nolte is working on a tv show but doesn’t work very often, so little chance he’s just hanging out.

I just watched Blaze, a great biopic about Blaze Foley, Texas outlaw Country legend. Great movie on Showtime if you haven't checked it out.

Ethan Hawke was quoted as wanting to film the movie in Austin(where Foley recorded and died) but on the Indie budge he had to choose between NM and Louisiana.

I'm very grateful these movies are back after the shitshow with too many kickbacks vs NONE. We found a balance to bring back Hollywood while not giving them a totally free ride on taxes.

Hawke said straight up Texas needs to give kickbacks to compete for movie productions. Geaux Us.
Texas Monthly article about "Blaze"

It's part of the staging area. They are actually filming at a house at the end of South Harrell's Ferry.

remember when there was little or no production and additional money wasn't being pumped into hotels, locally owned eateries, rental apartments, home improvement stores, police officers getting OT hours, payroll tax, sales tax etc?? not to mention the thousands of local crew and their families.
