What's a normal Escalade cost?

You can technically get a base one for around 90k. Anything on the lots is going to start around 102/103 for a mid range. The sport platinum esv is like 115

This will be a lower volume vehicle that will cost between $130,000 and $175,000.

So this will not be successful. Got it.

Sounds like all you need is a harder compound.

Not like 8500lb is something unheard of.

In a ironic turn of events, people who hate EVs debate/cry about the environmental effects these vehicles have significantly moreso than EV owners/admirers, who are stereotyped as virtue signaling tree huggers.

I’d bet a significant part of that price is to cover the cost of the massive battery that is required to make such a massive vehicle go 450 miles on a charge.

Rumor has it each one will house an actual live unicorn to harvest its farts to power this vehicle.

You’ve got to be a fool to pay $175,000 for any vehicle. Much less an EV

You have to be an a-hole to drive the gas version.

Imagine what you have to be to drive this. Can you imagine the size of the battery and the natural resources expended to produce it?

Imagine getting in an accident with an a-hole sized vehicle like this if you're in a regular vehicle.

The secret is to buy two of them. Charging one while driving the other one is the only way to make that logistic mess work.

Yeah this definitely wouldn't work for my 475 mile commute

About the same as getting hit by anything 1 ton or bigger.

think about all those reports of crumbling bridges and overpasses. They keep citing those and fussing about all the evil “giant trucks” but nobody mentions EVs.

Probably because anyone that thought about it would realize even 8500 is nothing compared to loaded freight trucks
