I am looking for a Hyundai dealer not selling the Palisade over the MSRP or even giving a discount. Are there any out there?

You are looking for a dealer who is voluntarily selling his inventory at a far-below-market rate?

Yes, they can still make money selling at MSRP. I am not willing to pay more.

Car market is still hot with these high interest rates. Must be low supply.

Just depends on how far you are willing to drive. At some point, the money and time difference ain't worth it

Not willing to drive over 300 miles. My interest in buying it is not at a high level. I don't have to have one.

Precisely. If you don’t like what the dealers are charging then don’t buy the car. I’m assuming the OP had spoken to all the dealers who are relatively close. Outside of that you can’t magically make a product appear at the price you choose.

Don't have to have it. That's fine with me if I don't get it at my price.

Just yesterday the OT condemned the automobile industry and dealer tactics gouging over MSRP. Today, you're an awful man and 'entitled' for not wanting to just pay their ransom

Have it delivered.

My last two vehicles were used and brought to me for $200.

They sent a pair of drivers and I paid em each $100.

Signed paperwork at my kitchen table after the test drive.

Do everything in email in writing on sending the vehicle back if it's crap.

I'll do it for my next one too. Drive local and pick out a model then do an area wide search.

Go to cars.com, choose the make, model and trim level, filter by maximum distance in miles you're willing to go, and sort by price low-to-high.

Find the car you want, call the dealership, ask for the "Internet sales desk," and find out if the vehicle is really there.

If the dealer sounds legit, offer to put a $100 deposit on your credit card to hold the car.

I've been sticking to that principle for over two years. But at some point the old car you're driving forces your hand into a new purchase.

These scumbags used Covid as an excuse to inflate the market and they're going to ride it out till the bitter end. It's a war of attrition and politicians have rigged it so the consumer can't win. Welcome to the new normal.
