I’m with you on a 997 RS. Those will be the ones to have. I picked the 50th because of the sneaky high values recently.

As far as color, I never really thought about the YT impact. I’ve always thought about it as most people playing it safe when ordering a car. I hope I would have the balls to order a slick top, cloth interior, Phoenix yellow e46 stripper but I’d probably puss out like most people and check all the option boxes on a Silver one.

You don’t see a lot of Vipers. I’d love to have a GTS

Great cars to look at, not so much to drive/own. From the offset seating position, no dead pedal area, melted Lego plastic interior and no ABS brakes (prior to late Gen II) makes for a wild ride and not in a good way on the street.. On the track, that stuff does not matter of course.

This is a good bet. Very low risk, as you can find clean, lower mileage examples for 30k and under. As long as you don’t mod the shite out of it and maintain it properly, you won’t lose money on an S2000 purchase, which again is all anyone should expect from a vehicle “investment”.

'm hoping these stay at reasonably attainable prices for a while.

Something about Vipers I've loved since I first saw one back when I was 5. Former Saints punter lived down the street from us and had a Red RT Roadster back in the day.

Yup, gorgeous car. TA 2.0 would be cool to have too. I’m the same with Vipers, guy in my town had a 1998 Viper GTS blue with white stripes, love that style. I think the first and second Gen vipers are going up in value. Third gen can probably be had for a good deal and fourth gens are attainable. I think their relative scarcity and the fact they’re unapologetically bad to live with makes them endearing and sought after.

There were at least 4 of those at the Mecum auction last weekend.

It's in the garage so not going to back it out for a picture, but this is much like mine except different wheels.

89k miles

If you want a classic 911 for reasonable, 1983 SC's are the cheapest, or perhaps a standard 996.

996s and most other 911s have had an insane run up the last 12 months- if you watch Bring A Trailer you’ll see 996s go for ~40k every day that sold for 20-25k 2 years ago. Not that it won’t continue but kind of missed the boat.

I don’t hate the Demon idea however, the low production and high chance of them being totaled will mantain a nice scarcity premium.

ETA: Demons go for 150k? Sheesh

I bought my son this Bronco a couple of years ago and the value of this thing has increased quite a bit.

wE have a body shop by work. The owner buys some crap cars and then tries to make a crap ton of money off them.

He has a 80s 911, it looked alright. Figured maybe $10k for it. No, the dude has it listed at $25k. Nice car, not that nice.

Bought this for now, not for the future. However, the M2 Competition stops production in June. Most people are saying that this is the best M car ever made. It will probably hold value pretty well.

I also got the special content edition which was 1 of 122.

Pontiac?

Yeah, that would be quite rare.

The Buick GNX was a limited build of 547 and virtually all were bought as collector items, so they are not hard to find with extremely low miles and excellent condition. Which keeps the price down. There are a number of "perfect" ones out there.
