Road and Track article

The numbers and price, hp vs. price, is questionable for the comparable market, but would you trust it being a KIA? I wouldn't buy it personally, but some might, I guess.

Without clicking, I'll assume it's the Stinger GT, and I'd absolutely drive one.

I’ve been pretty impressed with what KIA has done the last several years.

They had a somewhat rocky start but have survived and they just seem hungry. They’re offering warranties to back up their product, hard to argue with that.

Kia and Hyundai have greatly improved their reputation over the last 10 years. Dodge, you should pay attention.

Stinger? What an awful name. Why place that awful name behind KIA? It's already fighting an uphill perception battle.

I've had a Hyundai since 2012 and it has been a solid vehicle. It's a conveyance that we don't have for status reasons.

That being said I don't think it would hurt for Kia to try and rebrand. They have been getting high and even top marks by consumer reports and other review groups. However, resale value is what really seems to be hurting them at this point.

They are expanding and exploring, but German engineering, say in an Audi, will be better, in my opinion. Resale, trade in, etc.... It's still from Kia

Maybe I should try one. I've always had a stigma, in my mind, of those brands due to my parents owning 2 Hyudaia Sonatas and not being that great. Maybe it is good and reliable, I was just wondering how they could price a vehicle like that at that price.

Eta: Hyundai

I bought my wife a new hybrid Optima for under 20k 2 .months ago because she started a new job that requires a 45 minute one way commute. It gets 41 mpg and In a few years after it's miled up, it will be my siepdaughter's car so I don't give a damn about resale value. It's been fine and serves it's purpose.

I didn't want to pile miles on our "nice" vehicles and she likes it well enough for what it is.
