Actually very profitable model. Real estate is cheap, usually go in places where there is little option.

Every time I've been to an Arby's, I felt like they opened the store just for me.

India's on Essen. Nastiest food I've ever tasted and parking lot's always empty.

Apparently they are popular at lunch with the hospital crowd.

It certainly isn't an evening crowd over there.

Smoke shops. You'd have to sell a ton of cigs to make rent in these parts.

How about TV repair shops? I know it sounds bad but TV's are so cheap now that I'd rather just get a new one.

That is the mentality of many now and why tv repairmen are almost non-existent. My dad was a tv repairman. I can remember as a kid him getting excited when lightning storms hit because it meant more business for him(he worked for a small appliance store off Florida Blvd..that is actually still open and still repairs tvs and small appliances). He was always busy at work and made service calls in the evenings/weekends to make some extra money. He was let go like 4 years ago and forced into early retirement because the store he worked for didn't have enough business to sustain 2 guys working for them.

That sucks and that is pretty much a lost art, but now, because they are cheaper, people throw away appliances, they could probably still get a lot more years out of, if someone who knew how to fix them... did so.

There is a bird shop in Denham Springs called," Bayou Bird." Who buys birds?
