Before that promotion it was a kush job with good patrons. During and after it was dogshit.

It also changed the type of of person working there significantly. The staff went from mostly college kids and people with second jobs to hoodlums and crackheads virtually overnight.

I have heard this from multiple people who worked there. They loved working there until their 99-cent margarita mess and it went to shite and they all left and it never recovered.

Its kinda crazy to me they even decided to do this promotion. TJ Ribs was a very popular restaurant prior. Its not like they were starving for business.

This.

But the Sherwood location is an absolute dump and the last time I went, the guy taking the order was a complete shithead so I haven't been back and don't plan on being back.

And Ruffino's is? Ruffin tried to hit on my GF one time coked up. What kind of dining experience is that? Dude walked around the dining room kissing on women like he's Richard Dawson. Food is overpriced, little quality, and bland. No thanks. I'll take the Osso Bucco from LV over any restaurant, and I've been all over the country.

Ruffin was such a creep

The owner is such a horrible bitch and the building is so disgusting that I honestly don't even remember the pizza

Same way I feel about Pinetta's.

I will never understand how Fleur de Lis grew the following that it has. Average pizza, cash only, served out of a disgusting building by a-hole staff. What is not to love?

What the hell did they convert the business to? I went in there exactly one time to apply for a job during the ‘90s when it was a video store. The owner (?) showed me his .38 hidden near the register. Even back then it was sketch af.

She's horrible. The brewery next door could have had a really great partnership with FDL, but nope. The owner would come in and find people who had just finished eating at FDL and walked to the brewery because their car was still in the FDL gravel lot.

I despise Yelp, but the reviews for there are hilarious over the years. They cut you off after 2 beers and they will kick you out if they hear you say a curse word.

My HS best friend worked there and some dude became a regular there. He was always hitting on her and waited until she got off of work one night and was in the parking lot. She told the owner the next day and the owner said they won't be banning him, as he is a regular.

Jones and I went once and they sat us at those weird frosted windows up front, and the floor was lined with brown mildewed towels catching the leaks in the windows.

I certainly won't be sad when Fleur de Lis eventually closes.

I'm pretty sure they're cash only as well. Or at least used to be.

That part of town is like a totally separate city to me I haven't been over there in ages. When I do go, I have my favorites. Actually eating at Willie's this weekend. That place is good.

Hobby Towne is freaking awesome. The RC market is huge and the family that owns Hobby Towne and works in there knows their stuff. I have several Traxxas RC cars/trucks and any time I need help I just plop it on the counter and 10 seconds later I have the part in hand.

Take your kids in there one day and get them something cool to learn how to appreciate and work on things while having fun. Help get their faces out of their phones for a change.

When you sell $6000 residential treadmills you don't need much traffic. I also always assumed they were supplying the local gyms but who knows.

LOL they are not hurting. I know the owner. That is one of 4 stores plus a warehouse. The have literally hundreds to maybe thousands of commercial accounts. Everything from gyms to hotels to oil rigs. Much of that equipment is on lease and automatically replaced every few years. Name some more places that sell and service commercial gym equipment in the area. There aren't many.

This.

I have been there twice. Both times it was for someone's birthday and it has been many years since I have been and it was okay at best..

I never understood how an okay chain seafood restaurant in South Louisiana was able to stay open.

Are there two (or more) city cafes in BR?

The one I am thinking of might not be open anymore. Do you know the name of the owner of the one on O'Neal by any chance?

Maybe if the building gets condemned, they aren’t closing due to lack of business anytime soon
