Burning out at work.

It isn't the job. The job is fun. I'm just tired of the people I have zero in common with.
Made a career change about two years ago and like it, but I didn't realize how different the education/common sense level would be.
Anyone have an office full of coworkers you have zero in common with?

Yep, it's probably spring fever man. Take a few days and head to the beach.

The 2 other guys I work with are pretty cool. The women though are not fun to work with. I am burning out in my career though. Same old boring shite everyday.

Yeah, but after 2 years I'm finally getting out next week. Couldn't be happier.

Finding the right balance between loving the work you do and the people you do it with is extremely difficult. I'd take loving the people I work with over what I do most of the time, though.
Having said that, I had a job a few years ago where I loved my co-workers so much I was legitimately sad on my last day. I felt like I lost members of my family. I left because I couldn't stand my boss. He would go out of his way to make me miserable there and I just couldn't stand it any longer. It was a pretty difficult decision to make but ultimately, looking back I'm glad I did.
Found out a few months after I left that he got fired.

I'm at least 25 years younger than all my coworkers. I run into the burn out due to lack of social interactions fairly often.
Taking time off here and there is the only way to combat it.

They drank and sexually harassed the secretaries.

I felt like this. Got out of my old career and went into sales for the money and hated every second of it. I made very good money, but constantly drank and was just an angry a-hole all the time.
I just accepted a role that's pretty similar to what I used to do. The money is just ok, and i'll never get rich but it is what it is. I couldn't imagine being miserable every single day for 30k more a year. Just not worth it.

My coworkers are terrible. I won a model generator at a lunch and learn a while back. My coworkers got jealous so whenever they have to fart they come into my cubicle and fart on the generator and make "natural gas" jokes. It's not funny and I'm sick of it.

I work with a bunch of nerds. I get aggravated at them all the time because they are smart, but they are pencil pusher have to do things exactly by the book types. I understand what you are saying. I like what I do, but the people i work with aren't ideal. I know you don't have to he best friends with your coworkers, but it also is tiresome to be surrounded by dweebs all the time.

Usually I just give my "coworkers" a good smack and send them back to the streets.

When I worked for someoen else I worked to work. Not to go make friends. If I did then that was lagniappe.

Anything that doesnt involve running more than a quarter of a mile or fitting into tiny spaces.
Longtime auditing manager. Working a semi sales position these days. Really I'm just a babysitter for a bunch of guys who probably take cruises for vacations.
The reality is I'm just an overeducated good ol boy. I'm just as comfortable turning a wrench in my shop as I am negotiating contracts with soul sucking corporate or state employed attorneys.
