Many celebrities have died young.

If you had the choice of being a truly iconic athlete or performer (like Kobe Bryant, Elvis, John Lennon) and having immense fame, wealth, influence (and an immortal name) to use as you please and die at about 40 or live a normal American life until about 80, which would you choose?

Seriously? Who wants to die at 40?

Not seeing your kids grow up is pretty shitty.

No one wants to die at 40, but I imagine at least some people would rather have 20+ years of hardcore living than a longer life of just getting by.

It’s honestly so surreal and gut-wrenching to see Kobe’s name amongst those like Elvis and Lennon. He shouldn’t have gone out like this

Meanwhile we have one of our TD brothers stuck in the middle of a freaking epidemic with his wife and two young kids. I could give 2 fricks about a dead guy none of us know who bought his way out of a rape charge vs a family known to most of us. Sorry if you don't like it but #Priorities.

First, you have to rise up and gather round.

“Normal American life” is a pretty damned big spread.
