Get your family and close friends on common ammo (say 30.06 for big game, .556/9mm for self defense and .22 for small game). That way you can share ammo among multiple people, plus those are common rounds that are more likely to be around.

Society has “collapsed” plenty of times in plenty of places around the world. People get to collaboratin’ pretty quickly. It’s literally the whole reason we are the pinnacle of life on this planet.
