I mean, there wasn't another protestor near them, and it was clear what the old man had in his hand. The cop didn't even determine what the guy wanted. I generally don't assume everyone is a threat, and frankly, if these cops scare so easily that an old man who doesn't seem to be a threat scares them, maybe these guys shouldn't have the power that we give them.

Old dude should know better than to approach a cop wearing riot gear that way.

He got his privilege checked.

Perhaps he should have known better, but I think the two cops are the ones who are going to get checked. They just better hope the old man doesn't die, and all that happens to them is they get fired.

They claimed he "just tripped" until the inevitable video came out.

Morons.

What looks just as bad as them just walking by the guy while he leaks out the ear.

Why would I, as a 26 year old, ever be afraid of someone who is a senior citizen? If I was checking anything, I’d be checking to make sure that you frickers can still operate a vehicle legally before you leave the Sonic.

You must’ve missed my sarcasm font and [sarcasm] flag, but I’m sure my pops would be willing to take you up on that offer. But, beforehand, I’d advise you to tell your boyfriend to be on standby, someone will need to call EMS.

Where were the rioters that would have justified that show of force by the police?

Did they show up just to break up a peaceful assembly?

Flip the sides and ask yourself the same question. You won’t.

Some people here can never admit a cop is in the wrong, ever.

While we’re playing silly hypothetical games, do you think the Buffalo PD would’ve been on as edge if several of their officers wouldn't have been ran over by “peaceful protestors” 2-3 nights ago?

If you can’t tell the difference between someone trying to run you over with a car and a fragile old man walking up unarmed, you shouldn’t be anywhere near a badge

Worse, he was trying to give them one of their helmets back.

But Blue LIves Matter or something I guess.
