Bucees is disgusting to me. It is the same as going into Wal-Mart. It demonstrates the worst of American Culture, overconsumption.

It's one of the weirder phenomenons in recent years. They have some decent food offerings, and the 2 I've been to are clean and seem well run, but they're still just a gas station.

I stopped at Buc-ee's last summer. It reminded me of an American-style Asian wet market. Everyone in masks, crowded shoulder to shoulder, chaos everywhere. A lot of people like it but not for me.

We live in a country that has the means to provide for people’s “overconsumption”. That’s a great, wonderful thing.

On the way to Florida last weekend I tried to stop at the one on expressway to gulf shores but there may have been more people there than a basketball game at LSU. I don’t wait in line just to get into a parking lot of a gas station (there was no shortage then either). Lots of fatties in giant trucks but I will have to try again another time

It's been that way nearly every time I've passed it. The onyl time it wasn't was when we passed it around 10:30 one night. Whoever planned out the infrastructure around there should be shot.
