I'd prefer to start threads about John Delgado, but he gets his feelings hurt pretty easily. He's so sensitive.

Yea my aunt lives in the subdivision back there. It's nice. But them apartments up closer to Sherwood... not so much. But i'll be interested in the details on this one. Hope it wasn't someone walking their dog or exercising in the park who was attacked, aka random 'real' crime.

Those apartments directly behind Racetrac are kind of shady. They've been recently remodeled so they look better but that didn't change the people that live there. The other two complexes back there aren't bad at all.

I hope it wasn't the lady or one of the two kids I saw waiting on the school bus this morning.

He don't read the OT. He'd only see the threads when I told him about them back when he was a councilman. But since he's flipped to the dark side and is actually endorsing Gary Chambers, I'm not telling him anything.

I don't mind him endorsing JBE. I'm not a big fan of JBE. But unlike Chambers, JBE actually DOES want to do better for the state, even if Democrats' ideologies for success are different than Republicans'.

Gary is a piece of self-serving trash who simply wants all Baton Rouge Leadership positions filled by black people(his words).

Could you imagine a white guy running for office on the platform of boycotting black businesses and buying white? He'd be run out of town yet Gary does just that and the liberal rag papers around here are too scared to call him out on it.

What was the name of the business that used to be in the big building right across from where K mart used to be?

You mean the outparcel in the front of that strip shopping center? Was Musso's electronics for the longest time.

The anchor in that shopping center was Woolco as I recall

I heard one of the incidents involved a kerfuffle over early enrollment into magnet skrool for one of their dozen children.

no, I know where Mussos was. I'm talking about the huge building. Last thing I saw being sold there was large cement yard ornaments. Was it a Woolco? shite, I don't remember. My aunt used to live back there on Shannon Avenue. Was a very nice little neighborhood back then.

Yes originally it was Woolco. We're talking 70s - 80s though. That hood used to be very nice.

Looks like they've updated the article and someone reported hearing shots around 11:30 last night. They probably just discovered the body this morning.

quote:

Tierini Mitchell, a resident in the neighborhood, said she heard one shot fired around 11:30 p.m. the previous night.
