Diversity is our strength.

Wonder what minority activist judge in BR will release him or offer pretrial intervention to lighten any potential sentence?

Cincinnati police say a man accused of hitting and killing a Hamilton County sheriff’s deputy on Friday is now charged with aggravated murder.

Police Chief Teresa Theetge said Rodney Hinton Jr. is the father of an 18-year-old who was killed in an officer-involved shooting on Thursday in East Price Hill.

Good catch. Attempted first degree murder

Police Chase 2024

According to the probable cause report, Black was driving carelessly and playing loud music with the windows down around 8:15 p.m. The document stated a police officer tried to pull him over, but he sped off. Officials said Black went off the road, swerved into oncoming traffic, drove against traffic, ran red lights and hit another vehicle on purpose. They added he was pursued by police cars and a police helicopter.

"The defendant was swerving back and forth across lanes, playing loud music and dancing wildly inside the vehicle," the report stated. "The defendant also hung outside the window and would flip his middle finger."

Investigators reported Black swerved across two lanes and tried to hit two marked police cars in the opposite lane near Plank Road and Denham Street. They added he had a clear path between two vehicles stopped on Plank at Cannon Street, but swerved over and hit the front driver's side of a truck that had four people inside. It is believed he was trying to damage the truck to help him get away.

This city is so lucky to count him as a citizen. He’s clearly a good, contributing member of the community.

I’m surprised they haven’t already tried to say he’s crazy and shouldn’t be held accountable.

Look at the K9 and Officer involved in that pursuit. He’s now the current BRPD Chief of Police.

A POS like this shouldn't even make it that far. Maybe the police could arrange a little "accident" in his cell while waiting to be arraigned.

Somebody needs to have a strong talk with the judge who gave him 3 years probation from the 2014 incident.

He was later indicted on charges of Aggravated Flight from an Officer, Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property, Attempted Injuring or Killing of a Police Animal, Aggravated Assault With a Motor Vehicle Upon a Peace Officer, Cruelty to Juveniles, and Resisting a Police Officer with Force or Violence, court records show.

Records show prosecutors later reached a plea agreement in which all of the charges were dismissed except the one for Aggravated Flight from an Officer. District Judge Beau Higginbotham then sentenced the man to three years of probation.

This is the real problem with Baton Rouge. Keep the fricking criminals in jail and there wouldn’t be nearly as much crime. Attempted murder of cops with his kid in the car, and a dui and 3 years probation. FFS.

Thinking about trying to capitalize every first letter in a sentence that long gives me anxiety.

There are an insane number of people walking amongst us who committed crimes like this or worse and got a bullshite plea deal or dismissed entirely. That’s a major issue.
