I’m always awake... but there’s usually no reason to look at TD until I’m bored on a conference call. Checking in on Barry and being spicy.

Meh. Sucks his wife turned out to be shitty, but that doesn't mean all women are.
But I get why he's bitter.

She should get a job. My wife and I have two kids and a third in the way. We both work because we want to afford our lifestyle, not my wife’s lifestyle.

Find a slightly overweight woman and you won’t have those problems.

This biggest flaw with capitalism is how much power it gives the pussy.

Supposed to be cold today, low nineties I think.

Not all women are like that. Sounds like your brother picked the wrong girl.

I have a buddy who went through something similar. Married close to 10 years and they were that couple who just looked like they were in love and happy. Always fun to be around. He got in a wreck and got hurt pretty bad. Had to go on disability for close to a year and everything went to shite. She up and left him because she said he wasnt providing or some bs. He is paying child support now.

1. She's frickin someone new.
2. He needs new pussy to forget the old pussy.

Ya gotta vet that shite before you marry her.

I get it, your brother is justifiably heartbroken.
In my younger years I had the same disillusion that any woman who was into a guy for resources was superficial, a gold digger, etc.
But as I got older it became clear that this is the way evolution shaped us. Can't call a woman suoerficial for wanting resources when men do the same thing with attractiveness.
You live, learn, and do things better next time.

He claims that her reasoning for divorce is that he didn't provide the life she wanted: she had plans for school and art shite but they couldn't save and she raised the two kids alone. So she didn't have time for her desires. Some really pompous terms considering she didn't work. Yes, she did not work.
Good riddance.
I’m so sorry he’s going through this but she is leaving for selfish reasons and has given up. Let he go.

I was once told by an old man that a woman will never leave a man until she has another on deck.
So far I've found this to be 100% true.

It's funny to me how we as guys expect the women in our lives to respect and desire us no different from pre-marriage to post-marriage but as soon as we put a ring on them, we stop giving chase.
Gentlemen, kindly wake the frick up! The street runs both ways. Stop showing your desire for her outside the bedroom and she will deal with it for a while depending on her own willpower and other circumstances, but if you start adding on top of it parental or money struggles and you are basically creating a situation that's a 180 from what you married her into.
I speak this from experience. It was a hard lesson to learn myself. After all the sacrifices I've made over the years for her, why the frick does she still need this pursuit?
She. just. does.
It's just how they're wired.
Accept it, rearrange some priorities, start treating her like the old days and your marriage will be strong as frick.
Simple concept. Hard execution. Worth it all.

For sure. She’s not leaving that situation to go to another and have to work and struggle alone.

I find it hard to argue anything he or you wrote.

On some level a lot of couples do skip those tough conversations about what they need long term and whether they are capable of achieving it together.
It’s often a challenge to be honest with yourself yet alone a partner about what you can bring to the table and expect in return
