Don't be a poser. Bite the bullet and get the Sub or get a watch that isn't a copy of the Sub.

Oh, lol, I see now. Just that I have a daughter that would spend her last dime on a $1000 purse. Not sure wher she learned that because I buy resale, rarely retail

Anyone who thinks a Tudor is a copy of a Sub doesn't know jack about watches, or what Tudor is. For my money I like the Pelagos better, especially in blue. Titanium with a unique clasp. If you're going to flip it later, buy it used now.

Nice watch. I wear Rolex myself. I've had it for 29 years. Needs a diamond bezel.

you ever look for a used Sub on RolexForums? That is where i would look for any type of watch. They tend to have the best prices. Just be sure to look for someone with several transactions vs someone with a low number, like ebay. It is my 'go-to' for watches. Here is the link. LINK

Scroll down to "For Sale: Rolex Watches" . This includes Tudors

They also have a "For Sale: Non-Rolex watches" that includes your Tags, Pateks, Panerai's, etc. You don't have to create a username to see most of the ads, but some will not be able to view without logging on. It is free and easy to create an ID and comes with zero obligation.

Broke works at GameStop in Cortana Mall. (12 years, Assistant Manager) Why do y'all continue to ask his advice?

If you are spending 2900 and are OK with a no date, why not wait? Sock away the $$ to get the no date Rolex? A second No Date Sub can probably be had for $4000.

Tudor still has the same case as far as dimensions as Rolex pre change? Meaning the new larger Rolexes? I haven't been hunting for a while.

All that being said, you can't say anything negative about a Tudor. That blue one pictured is badass IMO.

Now my Dave Ramsey snowball plan following arse is going to quietly walk away from this thread. If desperate I will go to Timezone.com and jerk off.

Pretty cool. Not a Rolex fan and the Subs are the most played out of all of them, but hey tons of people think they're cool. For $8000 I'd get something more unique for damn sure.

ETA: No date is far better looking, the cyclops on the Sub is HORRIBLE. The crown on that Tudor is awesome. Nomos are beautiful.

It might not be a copy, but is the same style. If you are planning on ever buying the sub, why drop 3k on the cheaper option now. I know I don't plan on loading up on blue faced dive watches. I'd personally hold out or buy used. There are a lot of people on watch forums who are collectors selling off watches to buy others. They take care of their shot and you get to reap the benefits. Look into it. Just research the seller and make sure to use certified pay methods like pay pal.

If you plan on getting a submariner later, why get am almost identical watch now? I'd get an Omega and buy the sub later

There are a lot of used watches out there with papers and boxes. Check Wingates. They usually have a bunch

Eta: I got an insurance check for my stolen Datejust, and spent $3800 of it on a barely worn Datejust and the rest paid my house insurance for the year

I have an old Vietnam era Tudor that is one of my favorites. Pretty similar huh.

Agree on aesthetics of no-date. The crown on the tudor is the selling point IMO.

It changes from day to day, I am all in on Sub, then I back off. I do like some Omegas as well.

Actually prefer the Speedy to the Seamaster, but I am not into hand winding.

A Planet Ocean (2201.50) is less expensive than the Tudor. And can dive to 2000 feet whenever you need to do that.

Even the new coaxials? I thought they were significantly more.

The big draw of the Sub is having something that I can pass down one day.
