That's accurate if your paying current prices. I've got 4k gallons bought when offroad diesel was under 2 bucks a gallon. To be honest any old equipment is more of a money fire than a boat. Even if you do the work yourself. Blew a hose a few years ago. Replacement hose was 480 bucks and I lost 60 gallons of hydro
If I load it up full throttle I can make my own shade on a sunny day lol. I have to drive it so the wind is the right direction or it chokes me out.
I'm about to lock the bucket up full extension. It makes a nice deer stand right by a game trail.

Those are not common in private hands. old 941's-955's - 953's seem to be most common for farm and ranch use. Had a 455G for a few years, still wish I had that one.

Not common at all. I only know of one in Montana that's available for parts. I've had to machine my own stuff a couple times.
This one was used in a local crystal mine. It sat for 20 years and had trees growing through the tracks. I had to rock it to get it to break loose. The radiator protector is half inch steel..freaking crazy how they use to build stuff.
Track loaders just aren't made anymore. It's all wheel loaders now. They are faster but the replacement cost of tires is nuts. We got a fiat-allis 945b stuck up on a mountain with a leaking rear main. Gonna have to get it off a forest service lease eventually
