When I was at TBS (E Co, '86) you could tell who the ground pounders were - double pizza boxes and couldn't find their arse in a closet on the land nav course.

Butter bars complete inability to grasp the concept Land Nav is one of the longest running and most funny jokes in the army. The reason for this is because virtually everyone in the army has seen with their own eyes real life examples of this phenomenon.
