Funny the CEO's story changes so much. I remember seeing him say they had no clue about the consignment and that was against policy, only to admit he was aware. Same with the closing of the video, claims he doesn't have spreadsheet of the supposed inventory only to be shows that there is one that his team has earmarked
Frankly I wouldn't be shocked if the new owners did skim off the top and outright took some of the inventory and they know they can't admit to that given where this story has gone

This is why you cut a deal with Brian for the collection PLUS a settlement on top of it in exchange for a NDA and no one admits fault,

Well they were corporate employees, not some outside “new” franchisee
They are all in bed together along with the American Fork PD

Some people are saying BAM is broke
Someone paid for the files from the lawsuit where the sons sued the dad to take over Legally Mine and the dad said that BAM was broke and not making money.

Of course, there is the argument that this is a typical balance sheet for tax purposes, but when combined with the dad's statements in the lawsuit, and their actions over what should be a small amount for them to pay and settle this ordeal, it looks like they are either greedy or broke.

I just watched the coffeezilla video, and noticed one simple aspect he missed was whether the sets were priced properly from the start.
Out of curiosity I spot checked some skus against bricklink, and the prices were widely out of sync with reality. She was selling $300 minifigs for $100 and $300 figures for $700.
The guy clearly was shorted. But now I’m convinced the huge discrepancy in perceived value versus total sales was largely the result of terribly priced inventory. $50k in sales was referenced at one point, and I believe it, but I’d also bet those sales also accounted for the majority of the collection’s value because it was substantially discounted.
As is SOP for LEGO die hards, they walked into that store the day the collection was available, scanned it with a Lego price finder app, and scraped the bones before anyone realized it.

Yes, the negative public opinion far outstrips the actual value of the sets. Should have just offered a settlement immediately and blamed the previous ownership. The company is valued at over a $100M+, or it was. Now, the value of the company name is nil and only their inventory has any value.
