Really liked him in Blast from the Past. Brendan Fraser and Christopher Walken, what else is needed for an entertaining flick?

So when he was paying this woman $50k a month. What if during that time he was unable to act anymore and had to work a 9 to 5 job making $70k a year. Would he still have to pay $50k to the ex or does the amount he has to pay her based on a percentage he makes?

Dave Foley can tell you

quote:

During an appearance on comic Marc Maron’s WTF podcast last month, Foley explained that his marriage to Toronto writer Tabatha Southey ended during his run on NBC’s five-year hit comedy NewsRadio, and he has failed in his efforts to adjust his child support downward to reflect his new life after sitcom stardom.

“My income has dropped in the last 10 years, as anyone can tell from the number of s---ty movies I’ve been in,” says Foley. “I’m not exactly picking and choosing my projects.” However, four years ago, Superior Justice Nancy Backhouse denied his motion to vary his support payments.

quote:

Foley now owes $17,301.30 monthly toward his two children, who are both now teenagers: the $10,700 in child support agreed to in 2001, now raised to $12,301.30 to reflect cost of living increases, plus $5,000 a month toward the overdue $589,000 he already owes. For a performer, that means that once taxes and a 20 per cent commission are factored in, he has to earn $40,000 per month, he figures, before he can see a dime.

He is reportedly worth $20-25 million now.

The Mummy series grossed over $800 million. That figure does not surprise me.

Notice how when it's a male getting absolutely sodomized by the court there's a female judge involved?

Wow- I don’t see how she managed to scrape by on such a paltry amount. (Rolls eyes)

That’s a friggin crime. Tell me how these laws suggest “equality”???

Never understand why their previous employment is not factored into settlements?

If she was an actress making scale then that 50K per month needs to reflect this in some way.

As to the divorce, was he fooling around and she was not? In the old days a judge would hammer the one who was unfaithful.

With Honors was good. And it got a good Cult classic following thanks to Ronald Miller turning into McDreamy.

Indeed. Also enjoyed him in School Ties (had a ton of young actors in that cast too).

And good for him getting off the hook. My SO got lucky he caught his ex cheating before the 10 year mark and she purposefully under employed herself (Masters in Psych, never sat for a therapist certification and is a call-center manager) so he didn’t have to pay alimony. Otherwise it would’ve been a nice chunk of change each month because he was making almost 4-times her salary.
