It's called hyperbole but I doubt you could even pronounce the word much less know what it means.

Because this is the OT.

If we could turn this into a poorly worded math problem it would go for another 20.

She had too many items.

No, you can bring more for free. It's in the policy.

My point is its unnecessary. There's absolutely no reason for a single person to have all of that shite. You can easily fit the milk for 2 flights of 8 hours, a breast pump, personal items for 2 kids, and plenty more in a single carry on bag.

There's no reason for anyone to need more than a damn carry on and a personal item. Its too much shite, you can't walk down the aisle with it all especially with a baby in tow.

How does a mom carry a baby onto a plane along with a carry on, personal item, breast pump, etc.? As a father, there's no freaking way.

I agree I don't know why its a story though outside of the one airline worker saying enough dumb shite to be more than fired over.

All of this is irrelevant.

This is what happens when everyone needs special treatment for one reason or another.

This is certainly a scenario where the passenger is in the right, and should be, people should be ok with helping mothers. But lots of people end up taking it too far or ask too much, see the service animal epidemic. So the people who should get helped, or should be given leeway like this woman, get lumped in with everyone else.

For every passenger like this, there's probably some breastfeeding mother exploiting some rule somewhere so she gets a benefit. That's all the outrage is.

That's not what this thread is about.

Yes so anything else is off topic.

This is so fricking stupid.

"Idiots abuse the system so we should get outraged when someone is completely in the right"

You realize how dumb your post sounds right? You and the other geniuses are the only ones lumping this girl in with the others.

I disagree. Too many comments were specific to her situation ("why does she need so much milk", "a breast pump isn't a medical device", etc...) to chalk it up to general frustration. What we have here is simply a bunch of dumbasses that didn't read the article.

It's tangential to it though. It IS about someone who gets special treatment for a WORTHWHILE reason. It's still special treatment.

Maybe, maybe not. Are there cases where mothers break, bend, and take advantage of the rules? Most definitely. It would be nice if the norm, the expectation, was that people wouldn't take advantage of the rules, but it seems culture has shifted a bit hence outrage.

Did I say Idiots? Did I say I agree? Did I say outrage was justified? No, I said there was at least some reasoning. And maybe if we better understand that reason we can change it. I'm just saying it isn't surprising that people are outraged, not that the outrage is correct. You are being super aggressive, and I have no idea why.

I'm not lumping her in, she's right, the agent is wrong, and the rule is fine as is. And this is coming from someone who travels a lot. I'm just saying this is where the outrage comes from. And maybe you should AT LEAST try to understand where some outrage comes from as well.

Yes, assuming the baby is the personal item. Or put the baby in the bag. Figure it out, it's not that hard.
