I have an elderly relative with COPD that I suspected wouldn’t make it another year before anyone heard of Covid.
He contracted Covid and is recovering just fine. Meanwhile, far more healthy people get it and have more serious symptoms. Some others get it and just feel like shite for a few days before it passes.
This virus is weird. And viral load appears to correspond to severity.
Prayers for POTUS and his family. Hopefully he makes a speedy recovery and continues his work, which IMO has been excellent.

This person is the so called White House Press Secretary and doesn’t grasp the fifth grade level grammatical distinction between subject and object pronouns? It is a humiliation of national import for someone in her position to make such a glaring and offensive error. I would fire such a person from that position for that error alone. It’s one thing for a maths teacher to make that error, but a press secretary? I am appalled.

Actually thought Boris initially wasn’t taking getting worse that serious and kept working pretty hard while continuing to get worse & harder to hear clearly on conference/video calls worrying those around him to point even Trump had to call or message in some manner to take more seriously.
Trump seems closer to being out of abundance of caution in case he continues to get worse. Even if after a day or two of getting worse he is not in grave danger yet it looks better walking out to helicopter now than being helped out or pushed out later (or just having a press release announcing he is at hospital).
Outside of being asymptotic I always figured if he caught it being President and at a high risk age that he would go to Walter Reed sooner rather than later regardless of how bad it was.
