I don't think this administration will care what the SCOTUS rules... and will likely ignore it

Extreme move to make extreme movement.

Gen z was upset with the abortion call, now they will be even more motivated.

I've only once went into debt, and it sucks. But I crawled out. But to piss off the voting age of 25 - 40 will be the death of whatever the GOP is.

The hammering of the last nail on a red coffin just started.

Biden knew this was a bullshite way to do it. He said it was before he went and made his promises. I assume that doesn't piss off the kids, right?

On the reddit sights he's been praised as going "dark Brandon".

Yes. The kids are flocking towards the democrat side.

The Supreme Court is doing republican extrexme bidding. And this will backfire.

What is the national emergency - his presidency???

Also Forgiveness of debt goes beyond helping to make sure during said national emergency “…affected individuals are not placed in a worse position financially in relation to that financial assistance because of their status as affected individuals”
quote:

(A) recipients of student financial assistance under title IV of the Act who are affected individuals are not placed in a worse position financially in relation to that financial assistance because of their status as affected individuals;
(B) administrative requirements placed on affected individuals who are recipients of student financial assist- ance are minimized, to the extent possible without impairing the integrity of the student financial assistance programs, to ease the burden on such students and avoid inadvertent, technical violations or defaults;

quote:

(2) AFFECTED INDIVIDUAL.—The term ‘‘affected individual’’ means an individual who—
(A) is serving on active duty during a war or other military operation or national emergency;
(B) is performing qualifying National Guard duty during a war or other military operation or national emer- gency;
(C) resides or is employed in an area that is declared a disaster area by any Federal, State, or local official in connection with a national emergency; or
(D) suffered direct economic hardship as a direct result of a war or other military operation or national emergency, as determined by the Secretary.

I'm just stating what is happening.

I can do that without taking a side.
At first I thought, Republicans are fricking hilarious at thinking the democrats are playing some sort of 5D chess.
But then the Republicans kinda went full retard on some issues and candidates.
At the same time , the democrats are ,like, doing nothing.
And now the Republicans are screaming at the sky on issues that democrats agree with but none offer an anecdote.

So.. now we come to the Supreme Court making a move that will bring the democrat side stronger together in anger.

I still have 2 punches left on my subway free sandwich card.

The Saints suck.

Just facts dude. No side

Show me where the constitution gives the president the power to, by simple decree, declare a loan null and void.

So we are okay with the PPP loans but not student loans forgiveness? Just making sure I get this right.

Two very big differences.

1) PPP was done because the government shut businesses down. The equivalent would be if the government forced people to take out student loans.

2) PPP funds were given to employees. They weren't for the benefit of the business owner.

What is happening is late-stage democracy.

The people have come to the realization that they can vote themselves the treasury.

I was all for the PPP program. But business owners need to stop pretending it was anything other than a government handout. Some markets were still thriving and it essentially paid their labor for free in those situations. Construction here in Orlando was down maybe 5 months. PPP forgiveness made many business owners very profitable that year.
