Check out an emergency room sometime. There are very few real "emergency" patients in there...it's largely being used as primary care by the homeless or uninsured.

It's pathetic.

She knowingly flew. And the cdc did not flag her after she called repeatedly asking if she could fly. But the responsibilitycis on her. She flew knowing she had a low grade fever and she had been around an ebola patient.

Agree 1 billion percent

Congressman on Fox just said Frieden told him a travel ban on W Afr countries would harm those economies. Im speechless.

this is the kind of shite that is going to make people cry for voluntary imprisonment/isolation.

Wearing semipermeable aprons with exposed necks while working is a room where a guy with Ebola was having projectile diarrhea probably had something to do with.

Exposed legs wading through soiled linen. Exposed meaning scrubs that were hers to take home. Just a system failure. Failure in that the system in place had no chance for success. Have to transfer the guy. Unless too unstable. This may have been the case.

Flu season on the way. Every black person with an accent and a fever are going to be quarantined.

Anyone know what the 4 CDC "approved" centers for this are? Emory and the place in Nebraska are all I know of.

They will put together a lessons learned study after this and it will get nasty, just like Katrina did.

Same flight as the 2nd nurse and had contact with someone from Africa? Must not be from the guy from Africa.

So first nurse goes into hospital with low grade fever. CDC allows the second to fly after repeated calls to them. These nurses aren't to blame. It's utter fricking incompetence at CDC. CDC should have never let her travel anywhere outside the local area on any transportation system even without a fever.

Evening news said all four combined could handle a dozen people, at most.

We have confirmed that the Amarillo patient did travel on the same Frontiers Airline flight as Dallas, Texas nurse Amber Vinson. It was revealed earlier today that Vinson has tested positive for Ebola after caring for Thomas Eric Duncan at Texas Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas.

This would piss me off. Although it seems like this would be an awfly quick transmission to symptom case.

That's supposed to be a magnet hospital too. Those are supposed to be top notch hospitals

Aren't most of those "awards" and certifications for hospitals pay to play?

This hospital was terrible, but no different than any other randomly selected medical center of similar size.

Zero fricks given about the second nurse if she voluntarily flew with the fever. Shameful.

I am sure some sensible person has an argument against this. I'd like to hear it.
