Britain abolished slavery in 1835 and took out a 20 million pound loan to pay off slave owners. They finished paying off the debt of that loan in 2015.
One thought on reparations for slave descendants is to pay them the difference between their current income and that of the average current African.
Since 1960 (Civil Rights) the US Black population has grown 61% and the white population 38%.
Since 1960, 2.2 million Africans have immigrated to the US or 7x the number brought over via slave trade.
It is illegal to collect data on race in France.
The Whitest state:
Maine- 93%
The Blackest state:
Mississippi - 37%

Technically, while stats in OP are correct, many slaves that were originally sent to Caribbean were then sent on to the US which help explains the difference.
Still, the point in the OP is accurate in that much of the new world had slavery. It was the model the European nations used to expand their empires between the 1500s-1800s (ie tons of land and lack of labor). Africa had slavery as an institution for hundreds of years so there was an easily identifiable labor pool (previously sent to Asia and the Middle East before the Atlantic Slave Trade developed).
There were no Europeans raiding Africa to get slaves. There was no need as the system of buying slaves was already in place. The Europeans just paid more.
Finally, based on the colonization of the new world, the US as a nation participated in the slave trade for only 87 years (1863 - 1776). Yet, somehow, people here are still bitching about it 150+ years later.

People in general are not complaining about slavery anymore. They are complaining about the ripples of slavery, Jim Crow laws, segregation, redlining, and the war on drugs. These policies have all left lasting impacts on the black population in particular.

“Complaining” - Meanwhile immigrants come here with nothing and make the most of the opportunity offered. Racism is a real thing and yes many White people look at the Black population with a different lens than they do say Vietnamese, Chinese, Indian. Reality is studies find those races also view the Black population in the same light. How is it these cultures come here and find more success and complain less? How is it that the same system isn’t holding these groups back?
The only group (age, race, attainment, ethnicity) that comes even close to voting to the same % for Democrat leadership as the Black population is the non-college educated population. Maybe, maybe the system that is keeping them down (if that is the case) is the one they put in place around them without question. The Black population (regardless of running mate) will vote at least 88% for Biden in the next election. A 77 year old white man from a state with the highest % of private schooling leading back to his days in office and the fight against busing.
There is racism and bias against Blacks in America. I would contend that a majority of it is self inflicted and the greatest systematic barrier to that population is their voting “habit”.

I think you're deflecting like most people do, but here are my answers:
Because only native americans can claim as bad of a history within our country as black people. There were some relatively small instances of unjust treatment or oppression throughout our history besides those 2 groups, but by and large none of those other nationalities or races have had the same level of systematic oppression (or genocide, in the case of native americans) that they have.
No doubt the democrats have not been great for black people. Frankly I have no confidence republicans would be any better. Politicians haven't been friendly to anyone but corporations over the last 50 years.
