Sshh. Don't ruin his boogeyman fantasy. He's not educated enough to know the 20th century history of communist rebellions in south and Central America. Soros is Sauron. Remember that.

I don’t feel this is an accurate representation of the actual slave population and I’m sure there are other extenuating circumstances. We had a problem, we had a war, we are moving on. Hopefully we don’t wreck society in the mean time. But I’m sure we will. That’s what humans do.

There are actually black slaves right now in a couple of Muslim countries including Libya. No one cares about them.

you are saying someone should be ok with being discriminated/prejudiced against just because someone in another country is worse off? Is that your logic?

Not at all.

But I would argue the level of this movement is exaggerated compared with the actual "oppression" that is projected. It would lead you to believe the US is the most racist, downtrodden country in the world.

I'm fine with striving for better, but what we're seeing is beyond that. Talk about logic, no logical person thinks the actions of today are warranted based on the facts.

I would say its actually better for a black man in America

That’s the OP’s point. Why the constant drama about “oppression” here when blacks are worse off in other slave countries? And maybe the answer is there are constant marches and riots and agonizing over statues and food labels but we just don’t hear about it. But it’s probably bc there aren’t white liberals getting offended on behalf of others.

Brazil has race issues just like the US. Blacks are at the bottom of the social ladder politically and economicaly.

Seems to be a common theme. Unless blacks are thriving and living in a Utopia in Africa.
