Spirit is the worst US Airline and it isn't even close. You get what you pay for.

I've had to use spirit for emergencies.
Ended up making it more of an inconvenience..almost want to post bond and hire a lawyer for these people.

I flew Sprint to Vegas for the first time earlier this year but never again. I thought Southwest was a cluster!

And during a "crisis" that is as often as BR traffic..the average wait to get a person to help you on the phone is about 3 hours estimated time. And then they act dumb and rush you through.

They will not talk to you on the phone, and specifically announce while are in line at the airport that you will hold for several hours and then they will tell you they can't help you and to wait in line at the airport. No shite.
One of our people Tweeted a whole bunch of bad shite about Spirit and they contacted her in like 20 minutes after the tweets. They are conscious about that apparently ,everything else can frick itself. Don't know if they ended up doing anything for her.

I used to fly Southwest to Ft.Lauderdale twice a month for a year. Never had a problem except for one time when departing for NOLA and the airport closed because of a severe thunderstorm. But I do advise you to get to FLL early for your return flight.

Flown with Spirit 9-12 times now and I've never had a flight canceled or any other issue.

Ft. Lauderdale and Newark are the shittiest airports around. Last time I went through Ft. Lauderdale, it stank amd the lines were crazy with Haitians and Asians checking in big screen TVs and coolers full of food.

You're correct but not for the reasons you state. They don't pay their pilots as much as DL/AA/UA/SW do and their ALPA pilot group wants more money. So the pilots are currently in the midst of a work slowdown.
Delta is the industry best at handling IRROPS (weather, crew timed out, substitute aircraft, etc) and Spirit is one of the absolute worst because they can't/won't rebook you on mainline flights when a problem occurs.
