what in the frick kind of masters degree takes seven years? PhDs are less than that.

Pretty sure that was a combined program - bachelors and masters.

(Fred, sorry if I misspoke here...)

aha, makes sense

7 is still pretty long for BS/MS together though. The point of combined programs is usually to shorten the total time, no?

Depends on the field - in any event, he's proud of her for finishing it in 6 - with the kids and their 8-year BA timelines today, kudos to her for finishing ahead of schedule.

Ace Midnight himself took 11 calendar years to complete 2 degrees (but, in all fairness, had 3 children and almost 3 years of active duty along the way - so only about ~1 year of that was lollygagging).

I have two teenage boys that are respectful, make good grades, and help others. All of the other stuff like sports is fluff. Raising good young men makes me proudest.

My son is eating baby food for the first time over the past week or so. I never thought I'd be so excited to watch him do something so trivial.

My 12 year old son is a high functioning autistic and I can't imagine the struggles he must overcome in his daily life in junior high. Kids are cruel at that age. He never feels sorry for himself and he is content to march to the beat of his own drummer. He's my hero.
My youngest son who is 9 is normal and he is very kind and compassionate towards his older brother...even when his older brother acts like a shithead towards him. Greatest honor of my life is to be these boys' father.

Awesome post!

There is an autistic young man who works out at my cross fit gym. He is the life of the party and makes the entire group laugh everyday!

My kid won his first Grand Championship at a karate tournament over the weekend. Started competing in a new organization, and he won 3 divisions plus a tie for first in another. At this tournament, the winners of all the divisions face each other in the ring for a Grand Champion. He took the win and scored 9.99 with 3 of the 5 judges.

My son just finished the work requirements for Life Scout (just has to have his Scoutmaster Conference and Board of Review). Should be Life before March.

Daughter was the #2 server on her Elementary School volleyball team this year. Trying to see if she is interested enough into possibly going to the LSU Volleyball camp this summer.

I'm not. Why do think I'm so proud?

Nothing better for a parent than seeing their kid overcome the handicaps they were born with.
