Goes to show you if you're facing a lengthy prison sentence but we have a Democrat president you can claim to be transgendered and they'll let you out of prison because they're simple minded dumbasses.

Being that it is commuted and not pardoned, manning still has the conviction. With that conviction, I don't think he/she can make money off of it.

I'm for this if it means the taxpayer no longer has to fund his sex change therapy/medicine/surgery/etc...

It also gets the DOD out of the potential responsibility of paying for gender reassignment surgery in the future. In the end, this will save the DOD a lot of headaches.

It's unfortunate that all the first time drug offenders that get released will still have a felony on their record. Being released early with that still on your name doesn't do you much good in the game of life.

It would be way cheaper for you since you already have the tits. For the DOD, the legal battle, political headache and other stuff would be way more of an issue than the cost itself.

Bradley was a whistleblower who served more than enough time, part of that in questionably legal circumstances. Pardoning him is one of the few things Obamas done right.
