One detail is that the black guy appears to shove someone in trying to get a hold of Daniel Clements (probably to pull him away). I couldn't tell if it was directed at a cop or what, but that obviously sparked a hostile situation. I think if that guy did not start physically, then the Daniel Clements may have been in a more favorable situation. Not excusing the cops actions as it escalated quickly, but that certainly is a factor

dumb cops don't last long around here. citizens will raise hell until they are kicked out of the PD. Police Chief does a good job of weeding out the idiots I guess.

I think if a cop gets caught lying like this, he should be fired and face charges.

It looks bad For the dept.
How could you believe these officers testimony in court in future cases after this?
They need to bring in a chief from and outside dept who has no loyalty to the police union to clean house.
Most honest depts would offer the officers to resign over going through a hearing.
Knowing the BRPD they would promote these guys to shift supervisors.
