I never ever excused his behavior.

Not once. I just said hip hop isn't the reason for normalized violence in our society, especially how there are just as many or more instances of violence in the history of our entertainment.

These are just facts. I mean, we lionized confederate shitheads that spent many years post-reconstruction murdering, terrorizing and oppression freed people.

In our schools, American history is introduced to us throw the lens of colonist who used violence to get what they want. Violence to achieve ends has always been normalized.

I'm just not a bigot or going to pass the responsibility to hip hop. It's factually and intellectually dishonest

I'm not surprised trash revealed itself in the sumlin situation.

It never fails. Black coach doesn't do well, gets a trash racist fan mail, OP-ed,
Reprimand from alum, fans, board of trustees.

This is just an OT mini rant but damn, it annoys me how criminals on probation will violate the terms of probation and then say the probation officer violated them.

It makes it sound like they are the victims of the probation officer. Instead of saying "I violated" they say "I got violated".

Just like when they blatantly commit a crime, they don't say " I committed a crime" or "i got charged with a crime".

Instead they say "I caught a case". Like they were just innocently living life and someone sneezed and they got infected with a murder charge.

It just sounds ignorant.

War for freedom from tyranny = killing people because they say mean things about you.

You say stupid shite all the time, but I can't think of anything that wven comes close to this. You are equating the violence condoned by rap music (which I like by the way) to learning history. Yes, colonist used violence to achieve freedom, it's called war. How you even think that is remotely similar to someone rhyming to music about killing someone because they stepped on their Jordans is beyond me.

I have an alarm on my house and a gun on my nightstand because a confederate or a country music singer might try to rob and kill me

No I'm saying hip hop didn't normalize something that was already normalized.

Those are facts

So black people kill each other at an extremely disproportionate rate because they learn about the American Revolution. That's a new one

I used to live 20 mins from Tombstone. I walked the streets of that town shooting cowboys with my six-shot boner

NBA young boy and This guy were 'beefing'. It may have nothing to do with him but interesting nonetheless.

Like the culture of fake news and trumpology ?

Violence in our media was normalized well before hip hop.

You just like the conveniency of

1) not critically thinking
2) blaming everyone's fav scapegoat

I wonder when "people" like you stop blaming white people for you being lazy.

Very few mediums truly glorify violence on a regular basis like rap which is extremely influential with a certain culture. You can keep saying "normalize" all you want. We get it. You don't know what it means.
