They just put that rail line in a few years ago, no wonder the residents are mad

What a massive waste of money
The study alone is a massive waste of money. Its gonna end up being a high speed crime transport. BR and NOLA will finally get to pool resources efficiently.

I wonder where they would put the south Baton Rouge stop.

Yeah I think its a great idea to connect the region. I'm sure people would ride it for work a good bit too, especially from the areas like LaPlace and Gonzales into the cities.
I'm all for it.

Would be nice, but for some unknown reason rail is held to a standard of self funding when no other form of transportation in this country is.
Uh, airlines?

will be great for whisking people away from massive flooding...oh wait

What are they gonna do when they get to the end of the line? BR and NOLA public transportation sucks balls.

What a waste of money. This isn't going to serve nearly as many riders as what they think it will.
Another MS River bridge thru BR and south loop would make a whole lot more difference and better use of funds than a rail between NO/BR

Maybe their offices are walking distances from the stops?
Or maybe their offices start a carpool/bus service from the stations like businesses do in other states?

The only way this functions as they want it to, as a high-speed commuter train, is if they put in its own dedicated railing. If they are sharing the railways of the freight companies they'll have to give right of way to the freight trains, like Amtrak does now, negating the high-speed aspect and causing delays.

They said the "BR Health District"
Since they are using the rail line that runs along perkins/Anselmo/MallofLA I would imagine somewhere between Pennington and Essen but I think they should do it closer to Mall of La
The central BR station to Mall of La could pick up some of the CATS riders

Well what exactly did you mean by your comment then?

What do they consider “high speed?”
By the time you drive to station and wait for train I cant imagine this is much faster than driving.
Would be nice for Saints or LSU games I guess but that doesnt justify this.

I don't know why, but it's really annoying to me when grown arse people interject 'literally' into sentences unnecessarily.
Yes, that is a common complaint.
In this case it is not unnecessary. This will, quite literally, never, ever happen.

When this monorail is built, the St. George government should sabotage the tracks to the north of their station.
