How bad is BR morning traffic? Namely I12 to I10 headed west out of town. Making a quick overnight trip from Covington to Austin tomorrow and want to leave around 6 putting me in Walker/Denahm around 6:45-50. Am I going to hate life? Should I leave earlier?

It won't be too bad tomorrow at that time. You should be fine.

I would drive to nola, fly to laffy, rent a car and drive to houston, then hitchhike to austin.

Better than driving through BR

At that time you should be ok as long as there's no wreck on interstate. Ok meaning you might have to slow down in the thick of it but it shouldn't be much stop and go if at all.

It's the summer. You'll be fine. A little breaking around Millerville to airline then at the split. Nothing terrible. When school starts again, it's fricked any time after 6:20

Hope you have prepared your will and packed a lunch. Someone will sneeze on the bridge and shut it down. Then youll get pulled over on the basin.

You're gonna be hitting the belly of the beast at that time.

ETA: never, ever count on traffic not being an issue. You will jinx the frick out of yourself. School being out and all.

You'll be perfectly fine at that time

ETA: I live around the O'Neal area and it isn't bad during the summer at that time.

School is out so traffic is infinitely better in the summer.

Holiday week. You're good. We are all in gulf shores or stuck in the tunnel.

Zero traffic at that time.

In the past year, I've only had to drop below 70 twice passing through 30 minutes later than that. Things kick off around 8.
