The headline is misleading. Delgado was simply questioning if $14,000+/month was wise to spend on a "temporary" library when only 250 go per day. He is aware of all the benefits of a library. I think $14,000 for a temporary library is way too much, especially before you look at other options. So those bitching about your tax dollars, Delgado is actually trying to spend your money wisely and not wastes on temporary rent.
Most of the people on here despise Delgado. It doesn't matter what he does, they will criticize him. Of course OP didn't read the whole article to see that he was talking about a temporary library and trying to save money.

I rarely go in libraries, but when I do, I'm always amazed at the amount of topics the books in there cover. I checked out a damn book about ship propulsion earlier this year. Pretty useful place IMHO

wait so the problem with the interstate in BR is lack of money?
No, priorities. There are plenty of other city/parish roads that need attention, however.

It's hard to fault people for being critical of him. Calling citizens terrorists, doubling down on it, and then trying to pass duplicate equal rights measures in the name of attention doesn't really win much favor. ...particularly given that he claims to be a republican.

The cost is to just store the books and furniture while the old library building is torn down and the new one is built.
At least that's what one of the local TV stations said on their newscast that night.
What I don't understand is why does the Library Board need to go to the CP council to ask for the money to be appropriated out of the general funds budget for whatever the temporary reason is while the Library Board has over $50 million in their bank account?
