BR General antibody results

So yesterday JBE claimed 2% mortality rate.
BR General antibody testing was done.
Sampling is non random.
Cost $125 to have done.
4.4 % positive.
Assuming that's a decent number(I'd predict higher as these are likely older ppl nervous about themselves or loved ones). As such this sampling probably didn't go out as much as general population.
But, if use that 4.4% assuming EBR population of 440k that's 19,360 cases.
125 deaths.
0.645% mortality.
JBE 2% number is absolute garbage.

That’s a bold assumption. The people getting the antibody test so far are more likely to have had symptoms or have been exposed. Healthcare workers, essential workers, and those believed to have had Coronavirus are being given priority or encouraged to take the test

Not sure how much you can read into this, as those tested self selected. But I'll bet that if you did a sample in Orleans 20%+ would have the antibodies. Your overall point that the true fatality rate is a lot lower is almost certainly correct.

Eh, the poor and some minorities have been hit very hard if not the hardest and they are not likely to be paying $125 for a test.

This is a good first step but we need a random survey.
At the rate our knucklehead officials have been going we might get one by Christmas. I've seriously considered starting a gofundme.
I haven't seen any survey include children yet. Prolly don't want to deal with legal issues. You know this thing ran through the schools all asymptomatic like for weeks. You get those kids counted this thing becomes .01-.03% real quick.

We have studies of the most controlled groups in the country. State prisons. 96%, read it again, 96% of the positive cases showed ZERO symptoms. The denominator is grossly understated, therefore, the mortality is grossly overstated.
Bel isn’t interested in our economy. He (and predictably the Black Caucus) are trying to keep the legislative session from cranking up until all they have time for is the Covid taxes he’s going to cram down their throats.

I gave blood today at Quest at Touro for an Antibody test. In and out in less than 10 min. Billed to my insurance company. Didn’t have to pay a dime.
