There was a place I never hear mentioned in the mid 90s off College Drive called Ciprianis that I never hear mentioned that I really enjoyed. The original Sicily’s on Florida ( dated owners daughter). Steak and Ale in the mid late 70s. Wesley’s Pizza. Pizza Man near Baton Rouge High.

In that same center, Charles Alexander had a restaurant when he retired from the Bengals where Tuesday Morning is now.
He owned a sporting goods store; not sure he had a restaurant.
Cassano’s pizza was in that shopping center. First time I saw pizza cut in small squares.
No mention of Jerry’s Fried Chicken?

Riverside Patty - downtown
Solid hamburger. Better have an empty stomach. Long wait though.

They are still open off of Siegen. Food still tastes the same as it did when I worked downtown in 2001 or so.

Phili’s Chili on Essen. Before that it had an odd named from when Ralph & Kacoo’s owned it.
Loved Tiger Burger in Tigerland.
Mamacitis in Carfish Town and both locations on Bluebonnet.

I don't remember that one. We did used to go to Roma Deli on Sherwood. I think it was next to where Loagn Farms is now.
For some reason, I have hard time remembering exactly where some places were located.

I must have been gone by then. When I left there were two, on Jones Creek and Florida. Now there is one on N. 44 in Prairieville. The menu has expanded but they still have the John White special.

This was west Baton Rouge but I remember going to a place called Schwabs or something similar that had the best seafood buffet I had ever eaten. It was awesome.

there's a location in TN also. Some of the old employees from the Jones Creek location work there.

What was the Name of the steak place on Jefferson past Parkview Baptist in the early 80’s ( it was there for years after)? Was that Mickey’s Gold Nugget? I know it was good.
