According to District Attorney Hillar Moore, the juvenile system is not set up to handle the type of crimes that juveniles are committing these days. It's creating backlogs in the system and a nightmare for the juvenile prosecutors having to handle those cases. When a minor is convicted in juvenile court, their sentence ends at age 21 for extremely violent offenses like murder. But, if they're tried as adults they'd face adult penalties. Making that decision is not easy, the district attorney says.

We basically did this in the 80s and 90s, and the black community grew up fatherless.

That's a cultural thing. Nothing to do with incarceration.

They still passed on their shite genes, they just did it at 18 and 19 instead of 30 like most of us do.

Look where it has gotten us today.

Don't buy this bullshite. America doesn't have a prison problem, it has a release from prison problem. Lock offenders up and throw away the key. Society has no need for folks who commit violent acts against others. Roughly 5-6% of the population in this country commits the majority of crimes. Take those people out of society for good. See Singapore.
