Hopefully this kind of crap is just message board bluster.

After their incarceration and release? Nope. Zero kill count.

Wilbert Rideau says, pfffft. Death penalty doesn’t even stick if you get an education in prison.

I can't believe people are supporting this sick piece of shite. He seems awfully proud of himself, hopefully karma eventually catches up with him.

I said the same thing on FB on that article.
Doode deserves to be killed. But if thats not on the table I understand giving him the opportunity to do something good in the world and CONTINUE paying for this heinous crime.
I dont agree that he should be praised or even mentioned for anything. He should be in some halfway house for the rest of this life and only allowed to do Non profit work. He doesnt deserve to have a normal life.

Love to see tax dollars paying for convicted felons' educations while in prison.
Honestly, you should love to see this for inmates that will be released one day.
The ROI for the tax payer is actually pretty good because of the impact it has on recidivism rates.
It is much cheaper and more sustainable as a society if we reform inmates and have them prepared for life on the outside once they are released.
People in our state are absolute morons when it comes to incarceration laws and policy. Yay Louisiana's prison state with some of the highest recidivism rates in the world!
Sidenote: I'm not really talking about this case in the OP. Just in general for inmates that will be released one day.

Prison reform is quickly getting non-violent convicteds treated and back into society producing for their families and communities.
Prison reform should not be about getting animals convicted of aggreavated rape or brutal murders back to freedom and then praised by our media.
Prison reform is necessarily getting them out quicker.
It's more about being logical and realizing that most of those people will be joining us in society again one day, so we should do what we can to make sure they don't join us and repeat their crimes.
I agree we shouldn't waste any money on people that will never get out.

2. I get the anger at the advocate for the article. Yet people always bitch about the lack of rehabilitation in prisons. Our justice system locked up a criminal for his crimes. It seems the guy turned around his life and you're going to bash him for it? You would rather the guy rot in jail over trying to help others?

Have you been rehabilitated?

If he caused an accidental death say running a red light I could somewhat understand.
Wait, so in this hypothetical, if he accidentally ran a red light as a minor and killed someone you could somewhat understand being released after 20 years in Angola?

Hot damn you people are hilarious.

You have 100% confirmation that Andrew comes from money? Your sauces must be idiots because that’s 100% false. Have known Andrew and his dad Mark for 20+ years and they are decent people. Never asked Mark what he knew and never will but it pained him terribly that his child took another’s life. Yes prison should be punishment but if you can punish and rehabilitate also I am good with that.
He's easily stalkable. He lives in a shithole apartment by Bernard Terrace. Definitely Not a 'nice' place by LSU student standards at all.
Kemo's right about that part.
However, I'd be more 'okay' with someone like Chad Cameron being released in the next 10 yrs for a drunken ghb/coked up murder he committed outside a bar(he's been in Angola 20 already) than a premeditatin' sick frick psychopath.

He killed a girl then set her on fire because she said his dick was small. This isn’t a guy we should welcome back into society.

Knowing Andrew like I did, and the kid he was up to this incident, it’s STILL hard for me to believe he could come close to doing something like he did, and he did. This one a very eye-opening thing to me as a young person and has forever made me realize that we NEVER know what someone is capable of.

No, I would rather he was executed 20 years ago.

He's on death row. Your teen psycho buddy is looking for a job with a degree from LSU.
