The dumb thing about this is that Bourbon St isn't the problem. The crime isn't because of Bourbon St.

When will this happen? Is he on his last term?
this is the last of his 8 years

Now we have to choose between Stacy Head, Jason Williams, LaToya Cantrell, and maybe Walt Ledger

My guesses at least

And finally a place for the rest of us to sit down to pee. No more piss on your shoes!

Benches for a more convenient place to pass out, and planters to make it more appealing to piss in the street was my first thought as well

Mitch has been a total joke, but I'm sure he'll go to Washington to become wealthier as the head of the Urban League or some other BS organization.

Yes it is. It's a lack of benches and planters that is keeping our tourism from EXPLODING!!!

And maybe those darn statutes; but we're working on those.

I was told the other day that Sidney Torres is considering a run at the job. Anyone else heard that rumor? I can't decide if it's true or if people are just saying that since he is on TV.

It's about sprucing up the place and making it look less shitty. I'm all about an urban makeover by adding more decor.

Maybe it is addressed later in this thread, but I will ask you. What are thoughts, if any, on the street needing a charge and a checkpoint? Like any other street festival? Or does that just spread trouble out around the quarter?

I feel it will be impossible to make any real difference without sounding or being accused as a racist.

I guess I'm wanting Walt to throw his hat in. Been knowing him and his wife majority of my life. Wish he was a bit more conservative but what can you expect in Nola

Are these going to be motorized bollards that retract into the ground?

No need to worry about minor details like that.
