I'm just asking what are the common interests men and women typically share that they would hang out together alone. I rarely hear about this ever happening so please enlighten me. And don't put it all of on "self centered pricks" because women tend to hang out with other women also...seems mutual to me.

Well, yeah. I came to that realization a long time ago. In college I guess.
It's nothing against women either. I just like hanging with buddies and enjoy it more and it is easier.
Now if it is female co-workers, that is fine. Like at a happy hour orlunch during the week, or whatever. Female coworkers, male coworkers, makes no difference to me because I know them.
But in my personal life, I don't have any interest in hanging with a girl I'm not attracted to and I don't do the whole hang out with girls I'm not attracted to, to try and meet an attractive friend. That kind of BS, though effective at times, is beneath me. May sound arrogant, but I'm good enough on my own to rely on myself and not have to stoop to playing games.

I have friends that are girls. I'm not saying we haven't hooked up in the past, but I have zero intention of doing it again. If it happens, it happens, but I am not going to hang out with them to have sex. I just hang out with them because they are fun to hang out with. These are girls been friends with for 10+ years though
