Some notable exceptions are my mother, sister, family and a few girls I grew up with. Other than that, I'd rather be with the boys. I've made a conscious decision over the past year to try and make more female friends and its awful. I'm either bored out of my mind or end up trying to sleep with them.
Girls just annoy the piss out of me for the most part. Am I alone in these feels?
I wholeheartedly agree. women I'm not attracted to (ugly, fat, or both) are even more bitchy and I don't want nothing to do with anything with them. as for chicks I'd like to bang, I'm willing to take some bullshite to get the job done.

Just because a thought pops in your head doesn't mean that it is something you want or something you would do. There is a big difference in thinking about something versus wanting to act on that thought. Just because you have thought about it before doesn't change your relationship.

I have two chicks that I am great friends. One I worked with in highschool for 3 years. She's the one who introduced me to my fiancée. We actually text several times a week. We live several states apart now so we rarely hang out though. My fiancée is 100% fine with it. I guess she's just a great mutual friend.
The other is a current coworker who I also went to college with for 4 years. Until recently she was like one of the guys who would stop for a beer with the rest of us after work. But she has now transferred to an out of state office to be closer to her boyfriend.
Neither of these chicks are overly attractive and I've never had any inappropriate moments with them. If they were smoking hot, I don't think I could be as close to them without doing something stupid.

also an idea of having female "friend" is laughable to me. either we frick or I treat you like an invisible person.

Nothing wrong with this. We all know, even the ones that claim to enlightened enough to be in a platonic relationship, that in the back of our minds all women are sexual objects to be conquered or to bear our children. That's just nature guys.
