That’s funny…Minnesota is the one acting like the constitution only applies when they say so.
Also, it is actually while carrying person must have both the permit and some kind of official state ID on them and present it a peace officer when asked.
Has there been a ruling that has said carry laws cannot require a person to have both a permit and ID when actually carrying in public?
I am not sure if the burden is too high for their permit or not, but I read it’s a shall issue requirement but don’t know any specifics. Even if permit requirements too much I doubt requiring a state ID/DL while carrying in public is any more burdensome than having one to vote which is not a burden at all.
