If I had a dollar for every Boots and Sonny's hot dog I have eaten in my life...
In the 80s and early 90s a chili dog was $.50 and they were good.
Every time I end up in Spartanburg I eat at Boots and Sonny's and The Beacon out of nostalgia.
The Beacon is an experience. A local (or anyone who knows the "rules of the line") will be halfway finished eating before clueless people even get their food. JC used to be the order taker there for like 60 years, he was legally blind, and I can still hear him yelling "Call it" and "Move that line on down".
