You may not have been in that hospital. I was. This was St. Elizabeth but this was same rules for OLOL and the other 2 major organizations in the area. It is unusual for me to see anyone over the age of 50.
Ok. So it’s the only hospital on earth that the policies are all set by the night time staff and that every single one of them are under 56, got it.
Sounds like they should’ve left you locked up, to evaluate for psych.

The draconian response to Covid was all boomers because they were scared they were going to die.
That isnt at all what I saw personally.
We were in the hospital in Columbus on the Saturday before the Monday in March of 2020 when Covid blew the eff up. The nurses and doctors (mostly all younger thsn us) were doing work while watching the news channels.
There was a lot of fear, panic, and uncertainty.
Hospital rules changed by the hour, and the day.
She got well enough to travel, so we checked out that Friday and I rented a car and drove home to LA, since our return flights were canceled, and more importantly, she couldn't take the altitude.
To lay the blame on "boomers" for the lock downs, when the panic and stupidity coverd all age groups is an ignorant and uninformed take.

that’s a very dumb point

Who made the rules?

Who runs the hospitals?
Since I'm not into generational blaming normally I paid no attention to that. I just remember some of the people I was seeing, Those presented as being on the front line on MSM, etc.

37% of the workforce is over the age of 50.
OLOL employs over 2900 people. Statistically over 1,000 people who work there are over 50.
Let’s say this particular hospital skews EXTRAORDINARILY young (50%). There would still be over 500 employees over 50 that are working there.
But you didn’t see a single one. Makes sense

Saying you are objectively wrong about something you are objectively wrong about isn’t a “personal attack”

Great, another inter-generational bitchfest.

I've been there enough to know it is typical.
I was an EMT. Also, a dirt bike rider. I was well acquainted with the hospital E.R.

The Greatest generation raised us horrible boomers.... so maybe they weren't so great?

I think that was kind of political to say the least. Do you even remember 2020?

So now I am a repulsive idiot that should been locked up for psyh eval.
And all I've done is answer questions honestly as a 77 yr. old with experiences.
Not opinions or made up facts but experiences .... and I haven't even scratched the surface.

It was 100% made up that “not one fricking person working there was a boomer”. You even changed it later to “I didn’t see any”…
Policies, likely partially implemented by boomers, led to the situation you found yourself in…

The fact that you expect people to believe this incredibly obvious lie is crazy

This isn’t a negative. The numbers don’t lie. People with college degrees generally have better outcomes than those who don’t.
If they can find work… my brother was on a trip to New York recently… he couldn’t believe the amount of waiters, Starbucks employees, uber drivers etc. who had degrees

It happens. Just think about the HS grads who would’ve been filling those roles in past times, what are they doing?
And how did he know they had degrees? Seems like a weird thing to ask those people, especially in numbers large enough to make any real determinations from it.

That’s entirely dependent on the degree and what was paid for it.

Guys 77 and enraged about some $25/hr nurse following administrative orders, blaming generations of people for this experience. Let him cook.
