They lived in a time where you could afford a house on minimum wage, normal people could afford college, and a bachelors degree was good enough for most jobs. There was no AI.
They do not / will not understand this. You ever try to teach a boomer how to do something on an iPhone? Like mirroring a display to a Smart TV? Something that any 8 year old could do, but your average boomer just can't figure it out no matter how much you tell them. Same thing. They don't understand. That's who you're trying to explain things to about how the country and economy has changed. They act like they're above all the generations that have come after them, but average boomers today were just as stupid back then as average Gen Z'ers today, they're just a different kind of stupid.
Just let them enjoy the rest of their existence thinking the reason that they have money is because they didn't pay $5 for Starbucks.
