Kindle usually does it for me. If I do read books I use a bookmark.

Dog-ear, naturally. I also lick my fingers to turn each page. Leaves a nice smudge which can also serve as a bookmark.

Read page number aloud 5x to myself.
As long as I go back to it within a month, I'll remember it.

Bent corner desecration is worse than those who never return.

Why are you southern hayseeds so obsessed with class? Is it just an ambition thing? I seriously would like to know.

lent Flags of Our Fathers to a friend who is a Marine a few years back, I saw him a few weeks later and he says "you're not getting your book back," I didn't want to kill him so I just let him keep it"

I feel you. Some books aren't lendable and some people are not worthy. May be why I have more books than friends, but damn my library is beautiful and I will enjoy it to the day I die.

I'm a folder unless it's not my book or it's a hard cover book. With paperbacks, I fold away.

Bookmark. I would never bend over a page.

perfectly appropriate
One is free to rat up their own stuff, not someone else's or the library's.

Depends. Sometimes i fd the page over. Sometimes I use a bookmark. Sometimes I use the flap of the book jacket. But, I don’t mind if the pages are dog-eared.
