So by Booger's logic, he is also admitting that Stacey Koon, Timothy Wind, Theodore Briseno, Rolando Salano and Laurence Powell were innocent of all charges in the Rodney King incident. George Zimmerman was innocent in the Trayvon killing, and Darren Wilson was innocent in the Micheal Brown shooting, right? Good to know.

There are a great many people who refuse to apply reason to their arguments and beliefs. It should never shock us when when one rises up and demonstrates this growing American phenomenon.

I was going to watch until I heard him say that. I already know why so thanks for saving me some DVR space

Is there another documentary than the one about OJ and the nba finals day

yeah this one is a 5 part series on OJ made in america. the director was on some show and was so fricking stupid and ridiculous with his explanation of the movie that I decided I'm not interested because the angle he took holds zero interest to me.

I get why black folks cheered, I don't need to watch 10 hours of something to know what I already know

Yep, heard him on rusillo can confirm. People like him are so enlightening.

ESPN has gone overboard with the race thing lately.

I went to a predominantly white high school (one guy was half black, half white). I remember hearing the verdict in the halls between classes and all the guys that played sports just started running up and down the halls cheering and yelling with joy.

It was surreal to me and I'll never forget it.

This is such an interesting topic. One that will be discussed a lot after this documentary airs.
I listened to the Producer, director or something of the show and the premise that came through in his interview was this wasn't about whether OJ was guilty or not but that black america won the case. Never in the history of our judicial system, short of an admission, was DNA evidence more overwhelming yet ignored. DNA evidence should be thrown out if we're not gonna use it in ALL cases.
This, like just about every other case was split down racial lines. Racial issues will never be completely fixed and everyone knows it. They are fighting all over the world regarding race and religion. This IS NOT just an American problem but a mankind problem.
I am honest about my feelings towards Ali. Ali took some stances that were very warranted. I didnt agree with the Vietnam war but my father was drafted and wounded. Ali took a stance in which he said his enemy was white people. Well, would it be fair to lump all black people into a group because there are a few idiots out there. If you are a white athlete and did that publicly your career would be ruined. I didnt agree with Ali's stance on America and his stance on white people and do consider him a racist as much as I do all of the people who cheered when OJ walked free. I had no reaction because a reaction either way would be inappropriate.
Like it or not these things are why Trump has had such a following. White people have gradually become fed up with these things. The networks have fawned over Ali and treated him as some martyr like the Pope with a televised funeral and all. Greg McElroy can't say I disagreed with Ali's stance on the war or his comments regarding whites and everyone knows why. They say the right things because they would lose their cushy job with ESPN, ABC or CNN if they brought up ANYTHING to criticize Ali.

I'd like to know how some of these talking heads really feel because I can see on their faces that some do not really believe the stuff they are spewing. They are just giving the politically correct answers to keep their job.

Booger is highly intelligent...misguided in his opinion of the O.J. verdict? Absolutely...but that's not a reflection of Booger's intelligence, just the line that employment with ESPN requires you to walk.

Well it looks like Booger is becoming an outlier amongst black people:

quote:

In the two decades since Simpson was acquitted by a majority-black jury, the racial gap has narrowed significantly. In two recent polls, more than 50 percent of black respondents said they thought Simpson was guilty — up from about 20 percent in most polls before, during and right after the trial.

I was on campus and people were cheering. Well, black people were.

Marcia Clark, the prosecutor, was on tv the other nite, and accepting her job performance as good, bad or ugly, she said that the jury pool for the trial was basically made up of O.J. groupie types. She did not say this but it was widely known that several of the jurors went to the O.J. victory party afterwards. If Booger wants to consider that justice was done, that is his opinion. But it's funny how no black ever addresses the 2 victims that were murdered in a brutal fashion. Her head was almost literally cut off & this was after her death according to autopsy reports.

They used excessive force and battered King - but they were innocent of attempting to kill him, IMHO.

Justified based on the evidence. Definitely not "murder." No one disputes that he killed Martin.

quote:

Darren Wilson was innocent in the Micheal Brown shooting

As justified a shooting of an unarmed suspect as there is, IMHO, again based on the evidence presented.

OJ was acquitted based on the evidence presented. However, he is responsible for the killings and there is a civil verdict to support his assertion.

I was in grad school at Alabama at the time.

I ducked into a student lounge with a large TV to watch the verdict.

There were about 15 black students and 70 white students watching.

When the verdict was announced the black students started cheering, jumping and high fiving.

The white kids were very quiet and visibly angry.
